Overview

This qualification is designed to develop students with the competencies required for a career in systems support. The qualification aims to expand upon the foundational skills established at NQF Level 4, focusing on networking and support.

This qualification can be acquired through traditional study or workplace-based learning, providing practical experience alongside theoretical knowledge, and addressing the challenge where newly qualified individuals struggle to find employment due to a lack of practical experience.

Minimum Admission Requirements

It is assumed that the learner must be competent in skills gained at the further education and training band. A learning assumption of this qualification is foundational skills in English and Mathematics at NQF level 4. Further learning assumed is the ability to use a personal computer competently.
